Carla Gottgens has been based in Melbourne, Australia for the past ten years. As well as working for local government organisations and corporate clients she is also a stringer for Bloomberg News, an international newswire service. Her work is published regularly in international press including the NY Times, L.A. Times and the International Herald Tribune.

Carla recently completed her Master of Arts in Photography at RMIT where she embarked on a six year photographic documentary focusing on 12 Melbourne girls and their transition from teenage to adulthood.

Other work has consisted of creating photographic and illustrative montages for food magazines, community organisations and health networks.
